Tatula XT spinning rod

Featured Replies

Any difference in the 7’3” medium Vs the 7’ medium except an extra 3”?

I don't have these rods, but being a Dobyns fanboy (although new purchases have been going the way of Shimano) I can tell you the only difference in 703/704 and 733/734 rods is very slight, mostly negligible, softer tips in the longer rods. You probably won't notice the difference in casting distance either. My opinion.

To me that makes a huge difference. I have mainly Aird X rods (lower end Daiwas) and i fish with the MH casting rods in 7' and 7'3".

When i go fishing on the boat or the kayak, im always asking myself why did i even bring the 7'.

The 7'3" can get an extreme amount of distance compared to the 7', whether the bait is lighter or heavier.

Same results comparing a medium spinning rod thats 7' vs 7'2".

Isn't one extra fast and the other fast?
