I think you should order it... and say Merry Christmas to yourself!

Well, I think these Citicas are dandy little reels but I've got my sights on another Curado 100D right now. You never can tell though, might have to pick one up sometime. I think Shimano has made a good move in offering a 100 size in the Citica, it's 2.5 ounces lighter than the 200 and probably an easier palm for most guys. I also noticed a left handed 200 model, which I'm not sure they offered before. Anyway...I figured that news of a new "100" model would get a few folks excited.

Does anyone have information whether they will be producing a 101 (left hand retrieve)?

Thanks.

I see the 100's  are only 3 bearing compared to 4 for the 200. Think that matters?

I wouldn't worry about the difference in bearings.  The smaller 100 model probably doesn't have room for the same number of bearings.  Shimano.com doesn't have the Citica 100D listed in their products section, yet.

I only see the CI201D model on Shimano's website.  I have a 200 model and it is nice.  It's bigger but the size is carried horizontally rather than vertically so you really don't notice the size.   My hands are average to a little smaller than average and I have no problems palming the 200.
