While I haven't used the flat side, I love their squarebills and pretty much any Academy branded item.

    I have three of them. I haven't caught anything like a big yet but I did get 3 1to1.5 lbers. You can't run them as fast as a regular square bill but at a moderate retrieve they get bit.

    They didn't cast or run well at all.
