wonkyrig
I've fished this lake a few times without much success other than an 8 lb hybrid which was fun, but not what I was after. Of largemouth and smallies, which is more predominant there? Saw lots of hybrids, striper, and brown trout, but not as many green ones, especially tournament weight ones. Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 18 Global Moderator Share Posted January 18 @wonkyrig, Boone has got some big LM, sounds like you might have fished the upper end . Granted I’m only speaking from years of reading reports, never tried myself. It was drawn down 20-30 feet for what seemed like 6-8 yrs and now refilled, that is always a recipe for good LM fishing and spawning. Trees and grass grew on the dry ground while it was lowered then they all got flooded upon refill, which is ALWAYS the best case scenario for a bass. Thats why lakes were so good when they first built dams
kingmotorboat
They’ve been stocking it with f1 and most are now above 15 inches. It’s a pickem on which is more predominant. You guys find me on Facebook Jared a jones and I’ll send some pics of some Boone fish. It’s a fun lake you can fish it almost anyway you want. Y’all should come out and join. It’s gonna be a fun one. Regional will be held on Douglas or Cherokee. 9 hours ago, wonkyrig said: I've fished this lake a few times without much success other than an 8 lb hybrid which was fun, but not what I was after.
