Suspending Wiggle Warts

Featured Replies

Are these still made? Did the original suspend well or always need adjustment with lead tape? Thinking how these would appeal with their short fat shape, being jerked along and allowed to suspend.

I don't believe they make them any longer , at least I haven't seen them in a long time.

I still have some of the old pre Rapala suspending warts and they do work but they always were inconsistent. It usually took a suspend dot or 2 depending on depth and water temp.

It's pretty much like tuning a old Rogue stick bait..

The old warts didn't suspend, but they made a suspending wart also. I've got a few of them, like @rangerjockey said, they always take some tinkering to get them to suspend correctly. Very deadly for the pull and reel wart retrieve though when the water is really cold.
