Has anyone ever fished the Reblel Blackstar?  I remember when it came out.  Huge add campaign in all the fishing magazines.  I was a big fan of Rebel lures, and wanted to buy one, but the Monkey had less influence on me when I was young and broke.  I almost pulled the trigger one day, but decided the graphite line tie had to just be a gimmick, and the colors looked straight out of star wars.  If I ever run across one now, I'm going to buy it and give it a try just to see if I made the right decision way back then.

The gold 3.5"  Rebel broke back minnow has been one of the best minnow baits I have ever used. Tons of fish on it along with the 3.5"  solid Rebel minnow in silver blue back.

Fished as a jerk bait, top water, or just reeling it in, these guys catch a lot of fish.

Pop-R, and Wee r, Deep Wee R, and my favorite the Rebel Humpback are all winners for me. Going back decades, they still produce.

That is my absolute favorite lure in my collection.  Not because it was effective, but because I think it was one of the worst lures ever released by big name lure company. I can't fathom how that design made it through all the checks and balances internally before being released.
