Samurai Braid

Featured Replies

Is this stuff good? All the online reviews I can find are super old. I just bought a 20# and 40# spool. Intended for DC curado 150.

Based on description, Samuari braid is probably made by Izanas.

I did find made in Japan on a label, and this is Daiwa's higher-grade braid.

What they describe sounds like finer fibers, tighter weave, and hard coating.

I’ve used it in the past and had no issues. The samurai flouro is top quality.

Samurai braid has been around a long time and was very popular with the west finesse anglers. I tried Samurai braid when it 1st came out and it bleed green dye badly, hope they fixed that issue.

Some of, it not, the most quiet braid I've ever used. Very, very smooth, too. My favorite braid for sure.

Thanks guys. I guess I’ll find out for myself tomorrow. I had to buy two spools after needing to take scissors to my reel while kayak fishing. First time on a kayak with a baitcaster.
