I am looking at the IMX Pro MBR  6'6 Medium and IMX Pro 6'8 Medium Topwater for throwing small poppers like the Megabass Pop-x and Rio Rico. Line will be 30lb braid. 

 

Does anyone have experience with these rods? What would you recommend?  Also open to other rod suggestions

    I had the 802 TWR. I used it more for flukes but there's no reason it wouldn't make a good popper rod.

    I've been using the 24 Fenwick Elite 6ft 8 medium for a few months now, I really like it for sammys, spook jr.s and poppers

    I threw a stickbait on it also. Versatile rod.
