Shimano Sedona FJ

Featured Replies

I purchased the new Sedona fj for a spinning rod that didn’t have a reel on it. I haven’t heard much about it but for $80 I’m pretty impressed. I’ve always been a fan of the $75-$100 Shimano spinning reels. This new sedona, which I believe came out last year or early this year seems like a great reel for someone looking in that $75-$100 price range. Line lay was good right out of the box, smooth drag and an overall solid feel. It’s not a Stradic but for $80 you cannot go wrong.

I have a couple of these that are older models. They have served me well and are still very smooth for what they cost me.

Good reel for the money. I have one that's ten years old, and still works well

Great reel. I wouldn’t not hesitate to get another one ever!
