Such a bittersweet story.     RIP Bryan, at least you reached the summit of Bass fishing in life. 

We were there to watch him win!

The Federation was my first organized National tournament trail I ever fished. 
It was considered the starting point for all the dreamers. 
If you qualified for your Regional Championship you thought you couldn’t be touched, until you competed in it. 
 

To do what he did gave hope to us “normal” guys who didn’t know any better. 
 

He started it all

Being from CT, him winning was a big deal to me and it was well known in the state. Thanks for posting this.
