bass tracker 175txw livewell

Featured Replies

Anyone know the live well size on 2005-2008 txw 175? I tournament fish with my son & need a live well big enough for 2 limits.

Generally speaking a 15 gallon livewell can support 5 bass weight 15 lbs if properly manage*with good aeration to keep the DO levels good and water temperature around 70-75 degrees.

Not familiar with your boat suggest asking a Tracker Dealer.

Tom

PS, 231 square inches per gallon of water. Length X width X depth divided by 231 = gallons.

* Sure Life Catch & Release additive.

my 2013 is a 21 gallon. I believe the 08ish tracker is pretty much the exact same boat.

Personally I wouldnt be confident fitting 10 bass in there and expecting many to survive.

I wouldn't be putting fish in a livewell if the water temps were above 75 regardless of how big it was.  That's when its time to incorporate the immediate catch and release format.

Tournament fishing with weigh in you release your winning bass! The majority of bass lakes during tournament dates are warm water fisheries requiring managing the water temps in the livewell.

Totally agree all tournaments should adopt  catch weigh/measure photo and release ASAP!

My fish go into a cooler with ice, then get filleted, and cooked, no matter what the temperature is !  Lol...

I think you missed the initial question and topic of the thread. It’s about a specific size livewell for tournament fishing.

Next time respond with something relevant. Or just don’t respond.

Where are the monitors?
If the member chooses to convert the livewell into deep fryer that is a choice.

That's not what I posted airshot.

Seems reasonable to comment in a thread when its relevant or helpful.  Clearly your response was neither.  I am not a moderator so I cannot enforce such a request.

If someone asked about a specific livewell capacity, certainly it would be reasonable to expect responses on such a topic.  Not one indicating that they don't use their livewell.

The response immediately prior to mine should be marked as the solution.  Its helpful and with specs.  Nice post @Hoosierman.

Too bad you don't have the TF model, my 2018 TF has 2 livewells (1 for bait and 1 for catches).
