Cheapest way to get another Garmin screen only

Featured Replies

So I have a brand new 93sv UHD with transducer that was gifted to me still in the box.

I have a new to me boat I want to put this on, but I want a screen added up front as well. I will not be adding live scope to this boat as its sort of just to hold me over till other things taking priority are done and I can get my boat I really want in a couple years,

What is the cheapest screen only you can get that can be connected to the one I have? I assume you cant connect a 7cv to a 9sv, they seem to be the lowest cost I have seen so far, its kinda hard to just find screen only and most are the same price as with a transducer.

The typical way to connect units is via Ethernet.  Be sure both have that capability.

73cv can indeed connect to a 93sv...all you need is an Ethernet cable if your 93sv has the port....this is the backside view of the 73cv taken from https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/690355 - circled in red is the Ethernet port.

I get how to connect them, I just meant finding just a screen at a decent price.

If you did connect a 7cv , will it show everything like side view correctly? or does the CV only mean the transducer that comes with the CV screen and not the screen itself. If this is the case, this is probably the best answer. I can just put the 7 on the console instead and the 9 up front.

Set the SV up as the main with it's transducer, connect the CV as the add-on....it'll still get data from the SV transducer, but won't show Side-Scan images as the hardware/software in it can't interpret that...so Chirp and Downscan is all you'll see - like it was using it's normal transducer.

If you’re looking for just the screen you’re going to have to look on FB Marketplace or the auction sites, otherwise you’re going to have to buy a complete unit which will run you $700.

I saw Bass Pro had that deal, but they do not have any in stock and wont get anymore, that model is discontinued. If you have a link to another vendor that has that price and in stock id probably go that route.

If you're still interested in the "cheapest" route, I have a Echomap Plus 73sv that I upgraded from I'd be willing to sell, just the unit/screen and cover only, in original box, if that is what you're after. Feel free to msg me if you'd like pics or video of the unit. I'd do $375 shipped. Just been hanging on to it as an emergency backup.

Cool find on the 73sv screen!  At $579, it seems like a solid deal if it meets your needs.

I would of for sure gone this route if I had seen this earlier. But I am happy with the deal I got. I just got the network cable and about to get the mounts so I can get these installed asap, its fishing time already so I need to get this done.

IMO the cheapest route is to just get a cradle for the front with a power cord and a transducer and move the head unit with you from the console to the bow.  Click it in, power on and go.
