I haven’t ran into any of those yet although I do keep my eyes in check, especially when around over hanging cover. The thought of one droppin into my yak does cross my mind, especially at night!

It's common knowledge among pythons that you don't mess with anyone with enough backbone to night fish the Everglades.

Lord knows, I’ve had my share of battles out there, and it’s something that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Even with as many all nighters that I’ve pulled, I still sometimes find myself reluctant, or at least questioning what the heck am I doing! 

Detroit River, Lake St Clair, Lake Erie, and Lake Huron.  No sense in me rating them, they're world class and very well known.

This is probably good, as it'll keep you vigilant. It works that way for me when I launch on water cold enough to kill me.
