It's the only topwater that I have serious confidence in using.

High praise.

I threw buzzbaits for muskies and own a bunch for bass, but have yet to throw one. Someday.

I’ve posted it in the buzzbait thread, but a buzzbait is my favorite and #1 topwater, full stop.  I hope it is getting less popular because there is nothing else quite like it that drive bass nuts.

Caught my 2nd largest bass on one.  Also had a gator eat one but didn't hook it, have the blade with a tooth mark.

This is unacceptable!

Remember when you started throwing that underspin and fell in love with it...

Your next early morning launch or sunset cast commit to the buzzbait for a time. Make sure you took your heart medicine when you do

Ha, @Banned User! I know they're fun. I used to catch muskies with them. I can't imagine loving any lure as much as the underspin, which is more compact than a spinnerbait and casts farther. It trolls beautifully and works everywhere in the water column except up top. And I am fearless casting it under woody bushes because if I get snagged, I flick my wrist and I'm free.

I'm relegated to the bank presently, might have to get my act together with an underspin to really get out past the weeds.

What are you putting on the underspin?

Chuck that buzz, of my top 10 bass 6 were from the buzz. I'm only applying pressure because knowing where you fish I think this will show you what's really lurking below you

Okay, I'll chuck one this evening. However, I'm not hopeful because the bass haven't been hitting surface lures. I got two weak hits on a popper the last time I was out and nothing on a walking bait the prior two times.

I use Keitechs, Mayors, and Zakos on my underspins.

Casting distance is HUGE for me. I catch so many bass at the very ends of my farthest casts. Yesterday I was catching bass from a mid-pond wolf pack and to reach them, I needed long casts. It's often that way.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. We'll see how it goes.
