Line-grip swivels with open eye?

Featured Replies

I'd like to make my own dropshot setups with the hook stacked on the top of a line-grip swivels.  I can find tons of line-grip swivels, but they all seem to have an eye that terminates inside the swivel body.

Alternatively, has anyone seen a setup like this in a #6 EWG?

You would get some responses if we could understand what it is you are trying to do. I read your post 5 times and cannot figure it out. Is it just me?

Gotcha.  I'm looking for the little swivel line clip things, but where the top ring is left bent open from the factory.  That way I can pop my own hook on, use a pliers to close the eye and go fishing.  When I looked through my existing swivels, almost all of them are fused or the termination point for the wire is inside the barrel of the swivel.

I can find fully assembled dropshot hook assemblies as small as a size 4, but the baits I'm using necessitate a size 6 or 8 EWG.  Tiny.

What I want is a tiny EWG dropshot setup that doesn't have to be retied after every third fish.
