How to use solid flukes?

I have some FF Sonar Minnows, and I've seen zoom's flukes, the kind that have a solid body. How do you use these types of lures, other than using then for FFS of course. They are about 3" long.

I have rigged them on a split shot rig, but I haven't had much luck that way. And they seem to spin a lot. I have rigged them on a beetle spin and they worked fine there.

So, what can I do with them? Are they intended to be rigged with an EWG hook and fished like a super fluke? Are they intended solely for a jighead?

These type are engineered for a jighead, or can be nose hooked on a dropshot. They also make great spinnerbait/bladed jig trailers.

Drop shot or just swimming them slowly like you see with ffs. I have been fishing these little minnows a lot lately in shallow clear water. Cast upstream and just lift the rod tip up. Bait will slowly fall while the current pushes it back to you. Last year this was the best technique on the river for numbers.
