Crucial crankbait rods ?

Featured Replies

I just bought a shimano crucial 7' m crankbait rod with quantum energy pt casting set up and was wondering if anyone has used this rod before and how it performed.  And why do they use the tc4 for the crankbait rods ?

I haven't used one, but I'd like to hear some input as well.

The Crucial rods I've handled at BPS seem MUCH whippier than other brands rated for similar lure weights, and I'm curious how they actually perform.

Shimano has engineered the new responsive TC4 Construction to elevate your fishing experience. The TC4 Construction wraps a double inner layer of advanced, dynamic T Glass with an inner and outer spiral of high modulus graphite. This breakthrough in design construction results in an extremely durable, crisp, yet lightweight rod.

I searched this from the shimano website, apparently it is graphite reiforced fiberglass.  the only differencer is they wrap the glass with graphite the same way relmech would wrap the guides on te rod. this makes the rod stronger with out making it stiffer.

I hope i said tht right.

I have The Crucial Crankbait in 6'6" Medium that I used to use and it was a great rod for the money. Only reason i dont use it anymore is because I upgraded to GLoomis
