I haven’t used it but a friend did and really liked it.

I threw his rig for a bit and was pleasantly surprised.

Its subtleness seems a little better than Tatsu which surprised me.

It’s very soft with hardly any memory. The only line I didn’t feel I needed any KVD Line and Lure.

He uses it extensively for reaction hard baits and I will too as the action of everything I threw seemed better.

I have used 6, 10, 12, and 14lb LTD, all on baitcasting gear. It's great line. It's soft but strong. I might like it better than Tatsu. One thing to note, it is slightly thinner than some lines rated exactly the same. If you have fished Sunline Shooter Invisible, the 6lb R18 LTD is more like 5lb in Shooter. When comparing 6lb Shooter to R18 LTD, I like Shooter better for BFS. I just have more faith in it.

Also, I have not fished the other versions of R18 but I have been told they all fish differently from one another. I would put LTD somewhere between Tatsu and Invizx when it comes to feel.

I’m a big tatsu user so I’m definitely curious about this. Anyone try r18 for bottom contact? Where are you all finding the best prices?

Yep, I've been using 14lb for Senkos and am loving it! Now I'm comparing it to 15lb Tatsu for the same purpose, so that says something. I find it's supple, casts exceptionally well, and its abrasion resistance is impressive.

I want more. )
