Looks like it’s going to hartwell. I attended this event in 2022 with my tent and a canoe and it was pretty cool! Little bit of a drive from the water to the arena but I think it was 30 minutes or less. And fish bit like crazy. I got all tiny ones near the campsite but it’s a big enough lake to where you won’t be in anyone’s way no matter what boat you bring. We camped at lake hartwell state park. Launched once right from the site and another time from a ramp next to the GA state line. Ate at a tasty Mexican restaurant in Greeneville that’s name escapes me. It’s a good one to bring your wife to, not sure why exactly but women love Greeneville, I think it’s the shopping

FINALLY - A Classic in my backyard! The last time that happened was back in 1987 when they went to the Ohio R., Louisville and I lived in IN.

Hahah. My wife loves camping, but they have hotels…..

We went camping once over 30 years ago, we both came to the same conclusion that this was not happening again 😍

It's a beautiful area. Seven years ago my wife and I were shopping for land/homes from Clayton to Lavonia and we were certain we were retiring there. Made multiple trips and look at a lot of houses. I got a job offer here that was too good to pass. A huge boost for our future. I'm hoping we end up down there in a few years. Lake Hartwell is very pretty. Lake Burton is like a painting is so perfect. This sounds like a good reason to go back for another visit.
