Guys....I got a message today

Hey Glenn, tried to change my email and I’m logged off and can’t sign in.

I replied

Click "forgot password" when you try to log in. You'll get a link sent to your email.

And he said

It wants to send it to my old email that’s attached to my member account.

And THAT is the reason why I've said so many times here to CHECK YOUR EMAIL ON YOUR PROFILE AND ENSURE IT'S CURRENT!

You better do that BEFORE you change or delete an email address (or let it expire), and change it to the updated email. Better yet, store your password somewhere safe so you don't have to use the "forgot password" feature when you have an expired email in your profile.

Done

Glenn I have a question for you about this subject...

If a person loses their email address and is locked out of an old account, is it possible to recover it by opening a new account and then asking you to combine the new one with the old one? Would this work?

No. This is why you need to keep your email updated.

Thank you for your understanding.

btw, if you use a Microsoft email (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com) for your profile, I HIGHLY encourage you to use an alternative email, such as gmail, for your profile. Microsoft is hyper-aggressive against spam to the point the confirmation emails sent when you use the 'forgot password' feature are blocked by Microsoft. And if you email us for support using a Microsoft email, you probably won't get the response.

It has become so bad that new members cannot sign up using Microsoft emails.

So change yours now!

Just got another message today

Hi, I'm trying to login, but it won't accept my password. When I try to do a password recovery/reset, I never receive an email.

And, again, this is why you need to CHECK YOUR EMAIL ON YOUR PROFILE AND ENSURE IT'S CURRENT!

Here is a problem I've been having. I tried to login on my Mac. I entered my email and password and I got an email saying I had logged on from a new device. Then it ask me for the answer to the secret question. I put in the right answer. It said it was wrong. Tried it several times. It rejected it. So I clicked that I forgot my password thinking I would just reset everything. Never got an email. My iPhone was still logged in so I ended up transferring the session from the phone to my Mac so I'm good now. I don't think I would have been able to log in without that workaround.

Sounds like a problem with your phone configuration. 99% of all login issues are usually a browser setting, a browser extension, ad blocker, VPN, anti-virus, an outdated browser, etc.

Because there are hundreds of combinations that end users have, there's absolutely no way I can be tech support for login issues. Clearing cache and cookies, then rebooting and ensuring you have the latest browser is the catch-all starting point, which corrects many common problems. Beyond that, I can't help, but disabling extensions, ad-blockers, VPN's and anti-virus one-by-one can potentially isolate the problem and help you figure out what to fix.
