For those of you that missed out Cabelas has the 103P and the 105HL back on sale @ $199.99. Sorry, I had to post it!!! ;D

darn, I got two of the 105H models, should I spring for the 103 now?

Maybe you guys should work out a deal with ReelMech and have the reels shipped direct to him for an initial tune-up. :;)

That's right those reels have been sitting in some warehouse for a long time, and are going to be some stiff reels when first handled.

Tight Lines!!!

I'm getting mine today and fishing tomorrow morning with it.  Have any quick suggestions to loosen it up(in layman's terms and thingee is a layman's term)?  I'll probably just put a drop or 2 of oil on it.

I'll be getting your book one day soon there ReelMech.

Thanks

Nevermind.  See the help in the other thread/topic.  Thanks.

Ok, here is the skinny straight from Daiwa's mouth.

The TD-Z's were only discontinued last year, there is an abundance of parts for us service guys, and, Daiwa is honoring the warranties for all of the Cabela's sold TD-Z reels.

Make sure you look at the schematic, your look for the bearing packs that are located, (in the right side plate), (on the spool shaft behind the engagement T), ( and the one under the cast control cap), it is best to use a oil bottle with the needle tip to reach the bearing under the cast control cap unless you think you can get the crank side plate off so you can to get to the bearing from the underside (not recommended).

Not unless I can find a printing shop that won't cost me my house to get the job done.

Tight Lines All!!!

I sprung, I ordered the 103P to go with the two 105H reels I bought last week ;D, just couldn't pass it up, especially when the BM sez 'spring'! ;)

Thanks reel mech.  No oiling needed as the reel was smoooth as butter right out of the box.  I am so psyched to use it tomorrow. 8-)  Paired up with the Loomis, it's gonna be my lightest combo.  Right about 10.7 ounces, maybe a little less.
