Reading glasses with glass lenses.

Any suggestions? Not looking to spend $100. Have a cheap (not their cheapest) pair from Walmart. Lenses are cloudy even when freshly cleaned. Tried searching reviews on reading glasses. Clicking on a link for one brand (from a review) takes me to a store offering many brands. That brand didn't come up as the first (or 2nd or 3rd, etc. option). I don't feel like searching through 150 glasses. (

It would be super nice if you could provide a link to the actual pair you suggest. Thanks a bunch.

As an aside, I had eye surgery last November and no longer need eye glasses in most cases. Can read this post perfectly without them. However, there are a few instances where I do need reading glasses. It sucks to be looking through a white cloud when using my current glasses.

Ignore if you hate replies with the phrase..."not what you are asking, but..."

I suddenly needed reading glasses within days of my 40th birthday. For 10 or 12 years, I searched for ideal readers. The ones that came closest IMO were 'too expensive' and/or too fragile. I can lose or break a pair of readers like nobody.

I have settled on and been very happy with 'disposables' for past decade. If you decide to go that route, I highly recommend Eyecedars on Amazon. https://a.co/d/010EyyOR

(Not sure if link works for anyone else.) $22 for 5 pair.

Pretty scratch resistant and durable. I appreciate the longer field of focus than most cheapies. I do acknowledge that I am more tolerant than most of less than crystal clear lenses. So while these are a bit prone to 'smudgieness', they clean ok on a t-shirt or 'jack-slime' rag.

I’m right there with you. My eye surgery was 15 years ago. Over time I have found more and more need for reading glasses especially in dark restaurants. I probably have a dozen pairs scattered around the house, car, truck boat, and garage workshop. Some are getting cloudy. When they bother me I send them to the land fill and buy a replacement. In my current collection the Optx-2020 Executive are the best ones that I have. I believe they were $6 at Wally World.
