Expride b vs Nrx+

Featured Replies

I’m looking for an all purpose medium heavy. I know it is crazy to put a 330$ rod vs a 650$ rod but I’m just questioning the use. I am trying to build up kayak setups but I don’t want too many so I need them to be versatile. I have a 6’10 medium expride with a salty hundo, I have a curado mgl 150 I need a rod for. There is an Nrx+ 843 mbr for 410$ in my area. I’m comparing that to the 7’2 mh Expride b. The only reason I haven’t already bought the loomis is question of the power rating. I’m just concerned how it will fish baits that are 1/2-5/8 oz since that’s the top of the lure rating. Can someone give me some thoughts?

Hope you grabbed that NRX! It does 1/2oz well and will be fine with 5/8th.
