Scrounger

Featured Replies

I have many and not really sure which to use with what. Long bill, short bill? I have read that a straight tail works best. Ledge fishing Tennessee River (Chickamauga) this summer. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Slow and steady. We use a 4.5" Crush City Freeloader...thank us later. They have simple shad colors that last forever. We use Tennessee / Gizzard / Natural shad in our clear smallmouth waters.

Any straight tail worm is a winner on a Scrounger. My personal favorite is a 4” Roboworm. A Slug-go on a scrounger head used to be the absolute deal.

Did someone say "scrounger"?

I'm a 3/8 oz. long bill guy myself.

On the bottom—low & slow.

A small lift and drop on a tight line can do some damage.

I present exhibit A for your perusal.

My best Scounger bass to date.
