I have a couple of old Cabelas Mag Touch rods without reel seats, how were the reels attached.

They are most likely a 'Tennessee handle' and you will need to use electrical tape, or better yet...silicone tape.

Do you have a pic? My Mag Touch rods had unlocking reel seats.

I've never seen a handle like that. Looks like a locking nut. The opening where the reel foot goes to position reel correctly. Tighten to snug against the foot. Wrap with tape to hold in place.

I'm just guessing from the photo.
