Fishing writers?

Featured Replies

A thread from @Swamp Girl got me thinking....

As a trout fisher, I love John Gierach's books. I've yet to look, but I'm sure there's similar writers for bass (or other fishing in general) and I'd love to hear any recommendations from you folks whom you enjoy reading.

Thanks!

John Gierach has a few great articles on bass fishing. In one he admits a bass and trout tied tail to tail would result in the bass pulling the trout all around the lake. Obviously not one of his most often quoted lines.

Dan Gapen has penned a few, some about bassin, others about musky or walleye. When his band isn't playing, I believe he still guides. His is a brain I'd love to spend a day with.

Hemingway's "Big Two Hearted River" is great.
