Featured Replies

Found this pretty nifty waste tacklebox for sale on ebay.....The seller is in Australia so that could take forever.  anyone know where else  to find one of these.  I was unable to find any others on ebay.   This would be real handy for me on my shoreline treks!!

Jeez....i might have to get one of these.I like to move around alot.

I have the gander mountain small tackle bag(holds 4 3600 box) right now with a BPS binder for plastic...it's all i carry on me.Even carry that much and moving around starts to become a hassle after an hour or 2.

yeah i move around too...but i am always carting 2-4 rod/reels so i figured havin a bigger box isnt that big of a deal.....i used to carry just a small plano box with a few different baits in it...with one combo....but i hate retying so much....so now i carry usually 3 combos and my whole bag...i keep a crank, a jig/t-rig, and a topwater tied on usually...much less retying

I've used the Berkley Strap-On TB when I shore fish for many years now. It's a tough little TB and you'd be suprised how much you can pack in it.

I've got one of them, dman.  They're a little small.  I only use it to carry my plastics in now.

I fish from banks 99% of the time, and I wear a vest to carry my tackle/baits around with me. A vest can fit a ton of gear, none of you guys like vests?

This is my shore fisherman "tackllebox":

The back pouch comfortably caries a 3600 plastic box. I fish one rod and my hands are free. No hassel, no baggage.

Ah  Joez,  thats the stuff,  where did you get that one?

I fish from shore all the time and i recommend the Cabelas Advanced Angler backpack... its got great storage space and its real convenient for when you are moving from spot to spot. Its only like 40 or 50 bucks, great buy

Having a backback is probably the most comfortable way,  i just wouldnt want to have to take it off everytime i need something.  Something around the waist I would think is a lot easier for that,  i could lean the pole against myself while i did everthing.

I have a Cabela's Advanced Angler BackPack.  Holds 4 Plano 3600 boxes, has a rod carrier, a large open compartment on the top half, and several smaller compartments.  I love it, use it in the boat and on shore.  Works well with a bike and walking.  It has a waist strap for support as it does get a little heavey.  It also has a reinforced rubber handle on the top which makes it nice if you need to walk 25-50 yards down a shore line.  I fish in a small club so I move my tackle from boat, to car, to boat, and I also tend to carry 1-3 rods with me where ever I go so this pack works very good.  When tourny fishing it makes it easy to sling the pack over my shoulder and carry all my other gear from boat to car to boat to car etc.... I believe Browning also makes a backpack, can't speak for it, but the as far as the cabela's one it is very very nice.
