Line for spinning reel.

Featured Replies

I normally use braid with all my spinning but I have one set that I use for small jerkbait with mono/copolymer. Most of the lines I've tried give me a nasty nest sooner or later. My best has been Triple Fish Spinning but I'm not 100 % satisfied.

What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

Hybrid Ultra Soft, PLine CX, Trilene XL, Stren Original

Plenty of good lines out there.

You might be able to cut down on the number of those nasty nests by trying to prevent loops in the line by  making sure that your retrieve is under tension, such as lifting the rod tip when starting the retrieve to take out slack. If you do see a loop in your spool, don't try and cast your way out of it, pull out the line past the loop and then retrieve it under tension.

I still using #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft.   8-)

I only use 10 lb Fireline on spinning and it works great...only time I prefer Fireline over Power Pro.

It sounds like your problem is usually later.... which means you just need to troll your line out (without any lure) to get rid of accumulated line twist.  If you use the rod a lot you might do it at the start of each day but if you don't use it all that often you can do it every few fishing days and still run trouble free.
