try p-line :o

That's hepful... ::)

I fished P-line for several years and liked it, but back then "line memory" was something you couldn't do anything about without going to braid. When I found Yo-Zuri Hybrid, that problem was solved. Then the company came up with Hybrid Ultra Soft, which in use, has virtually no memory!

Both Yo-Zuri Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft are bonded (not coated) fluorocarbon/ nylon copolymers. The line is highly abrassive resistant, low stretch, low visibility, extraordinarily strong (#6 (.010 diameter) = 11.9 lb test; #12 = 19.5), impervious to water and UV light, relatively inexpensive (1000 yards for $6.88 at BPS), low memory and it floats!

For spinning tackle I recommend #6, for baitcasting #12.

I agree with Roadwarrior. For months I have been reading his posts on Yozuri Ultra Soft, I finally bought some last week and I must say this stuff rocks, it is soft and casts like a dream. I spooled another spinning reel up with #6 yesterday and I spooled my Abu Garcia up with 12# today. On spinning tackle the #6 pound seems to be the best, plus it has the same breaking strength as Yozuir #8 only a little thinner. I found that out only after spooling a reel with  #8.

thanks for the comments but I only have the money for 1 spool,so what lbs test should i get to use on a spinning AND a baitcaster?

Thicker line diameters tend to "jump" off spinning tackle, but if you leave a 1/4" of margin when you spool the reel, you can probably get by with #10 which will also work on your baitcaster.

Hey RW just courious

Is their Yo Zuri regular

      and Soft

      and Ultra soft?

Also on BPS website it says around $8 for a 275 yard spool where does the 1,000yd for $8 come from? in store special$

I always get confused when I go to the tackle store

No, just Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft. I think the difference is mostly the percentage of fluorocarbon in the formula. The original Hybrid is a little more translucent, the Ultra Soft is limp by comparison.

Regarding the sale at BPS (1000 yards for $6.88), it must be over. It is no longer advertised on the BPS website.
