Berkley Trilene Flourocarbon...........

I have been testing this line out everyday for about a week now and wanted to share my thoughts.

So far I have been very impressed.  I have been using it on a Shimano Calais 201 and Shimano Sustain 2500.  It casts better than anyother flourocarbon line I have tried, the not strength is excellent, and it's just an all around great line.  Also, it is almost as limp as some of the mono I used.  Overall, I would give it a .

The only bad thing I noticed is, just like most other flourocarbons, when you get it kinked badly it will break easily.

I am going to give it some more time before I would highly recommend it but like I said, so far it is very impressive.

I am starting to use more and more of the Berkley Trilene XL Smooth Casting line in 10, 12 and 14 pound tests.

I also have it in 17 pound.

I like Vanish, too, and have had good results with the Vanish line.

The Berkley Trilene XT Extra Tough is a heavy line and I will use it when fishing in a lot of wood or grass but so far the XL Smooth Casting has worked very well.

I have not been happy with the Stren products as I have had too much line twist on my spinning rigs and too many backlashes on my baitcasters.

AN-40 has served me well so that is another brand I like.

A couple of friends use Big Game and I am thinking of trying that one day to see how it performs.

So please continue with your tests and let us know how you do.

What is the price of the trilene flourocarbon going to be?

The newest formulation of Vanish is a steal at $10.99 for 200 yards. I apply KVD spray to it as i spool it up and have never had any problems with backlashes, knots, breakag, memory etc..I use 17lb the most... really good stuff IMHO.Been using it for football jigs and other deepwater techniques and my hookups tripled. Have to use pliers to remove the hook most of the time.

I picked up a 200 yard spool for $19.99 and then you get a $5.00 mail in rebate.  Not exactly cheap but it is still good line.

I never thought I'd see the word "fluorocarbon" in the same paragraph as the word "limp".

You know, like "Rosie O'Donnell" and "Feminine" ;D just kidding ;D

I saw it in a store for the first time last week.  I would give it a try, but I've gone all fluorescent.

Certainly priced in line with the premium flouro lines.
