Pflueger® President or Shimano Symetre, which one do you prefer?

President - Pros = Free storage bag, Free T-shirt

Symetre - Pros = Aluminum Frame, Shimano

 Have heard many good things said about both reels on here. I own a Symetre on a 6' MH rod and think it's GREAT and would recomend it to anyone...

My preference is the Symetre. That having been said I have never used a President so I don't really have an opinion there. I just started with Stradics and Symetres and really liked them so I stayed with them. The old if it ain't broke don't fix it theory.

definitley get the symetre. i have a pflueger trion ultralite reel, and it crapped out on me, it took me like 2 hours to fix it. i really like shimano gear, i jsut got a new citica, and that thing is so nice. defintley go w/ the symetre.

Ebay-----Stradic ( older ones with the rosewood handles). Best spinning reel made for the money. IMO. Yes, I am running now,lol.

Ive had a president since this spring and so far I like it.

I have 6 or 7 Symmetrys.  They date back to 01-02.  They are virtually trouble free if maintained.  I also have Stradics and can't see much difference except for a second shaft bearing on the Stradics.
