Spinner Bait Rod?

It all depends on the weight of the baits you throw.  I use 3 different rods for spinnerbaits.  They range from 6.5' to 7' from MH to H.  It all depends on the size of the bait.  For 3/8 tandem, single and buzz  I like the MH rods.  For 1/2s I like the H.

The rods I use are Gloomis IMX 783, 843, and 844.  They are priced from around $230-$265.  I like them all but for the range of baits one rod won't do it all.  The H is too stiff for long casts on the lighter baits and the MHs are too limber for the heavier ones.

Just took advantage of the sale going on at Reed's. Ordered a St. Croix Legend Elite EC70MHF which I plan to match up whith a Shimano Chronarch 100. MSRP is $340, bought mine for $204, no sales tax and free shipping. This will be my dedicated spinnerbait rod.

The rod I have used for several years is a Avid AC66MF. You can get it right now at Reed's for about $100.This stick has a soft tip and has also been my "treble hook" rod. With a few recent acquisitions, this will now be used almost exclusively as my jerkbait rod. I have it saddled with a Shimano Calais 200.

I have an All Star IM10X, 6'8" MH, Zell Rowland spinnerbait special.  The same rod is available in either a Team All Star or a Platinum series.

If I'm tossing lighter weight baits like 1/4 oz I'll use an old AS classic BCM-6 med/fst.

I love my Abu Garcia Revo STX and Kistler Mg MH 69APC for 3/8 - 1/2 oz spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.

I have the G Loomis SBR813C.  This rod is extremely well suited for spinnerbaits and it is right at $200 retail (though, I found my for $160 on-line).
