Anyone have an opinion on one over the other? I've got a couple of STX's and like them so far but other than the InfiniSpool I don't see any differences. I'm about to buy a couple of new reels and was wondering if there is any practical difference in use.

Several members have fished both.

I think the Infini spool and the spools better quality german ball bearings make the STX a better casting machine than the lower end REVO's.  

As a Revo owner, I think the STX is the best of all the Revo's. The STX is silky smooth, easy to cast and a flawless drag that wont quit. I had issues with 3 different SX's....1 had gear problems after a few hard hooksets and the other 2 had casting issues. Not sure if it was brake related or what, I returned all the SX's and bought STX's, S models and some Premiers.

That seems to be a recurring theme, almost everyone has probelms with the SX's. I'm leaning towards a big, fat NO on the SX.

I have 2 SXs.  In fact, the SX was my first Revo.  

I agree, the STX is the best of all the Revos.  But I don't have any complaints about the SXs.  Neither of my SXs has given anything but stellar service.   They cast great.  The STX does cast a little better.  But if you want to save $50, the SX is fine reel.  And if you want to save a little more on top of that, the SC is a great reel that performs as well as the SX and very nearly as well as the STX.

I took the easy way out and bought a pair of Daiwa 153HSTA's from Delo's. I've got Revo's and the Daiwa's already and for most of my bass fishing applications the Daiwa is a great reel, not that the Revo isn't but I know for a fact the Daiwa handles lighter (<1/4 oz) weights easier.
