Are Quantum Rods underrated????

Featured Replies

I bought 2 quantum PT Energy split grip rods on a whim.  I didn't have any quantum gear and wanted to give them another shot. (Basically the monkey got me and I decided to give quantum another shot).

These rods are FANTASTIC! I am very impressed....these things compete with my Loomis and I like them better than my falcons and all stars. The felt light, are very sensitive, and have great action. I bought a 7'M and 7'MH. I paired them with 2 quantum codes which are pretty good but thats another thread.

I certainly don't hear much about them and honestly didn't expect much. Boy was I wrong! I boated 40 bass today on the 7' M and have fallen in love!!!!

Anyone else hve any experience with quantum rods?

i held one ur right,,,,,,,,,, i dont own a loomis but in store feel it felt just as good as a loomis and the one i held had a lifetime warrenty (BTW i held a imx loomis i still dont see any extroadinary feeling )

i had a quantum tour edition 6'6" med spinning rod and i loved it i think they are underated but they aren't even close to being in the same class as a loomis imx . try fishing with the imx , holding it isn't doing it justice  When i bought my first imx the quantum just hung in the rod rack till i sold it and bought another loomis .

The quantum energy pt spinning reel is really nice , one of the nicest reels i've ever used the only drawback is that it's heavy.

...these things compete with my Loomis...

I think that stuff you're smokin' is still illegal in Arkansas.

Ha :) I am not as impressed with Loomis as many folks. But I am also the guy that prefers his extreme reels over his curados so go figure. No doubt loomis are great rods but not a huge difference IMO. I actually get most Loomis rods nearly half price from a buddy who own an outfitting service. I still don't buy many of them.

I don't want this to be a Quantum vs Loomis debate. Just want to know if anyone uses these rods.
