Question on Shimano Rod Warranty and Tackle Warehouse?

Featured Replies

I bought a Shimano Crucial Drop Shot rod from Tackle Warehouse about a month ago.  Today I went fishing and hooked a fish about 2lbs and it made a run under the boat and the tip of the rod broke.  I was furious.  I take care of all of my equipment and hate it when stuff like this happens.  I have never flipped a fish in the boat or anything like that with this rod.  My question is will Tackle Warehouse refund or replace my rod or does Shimano?  I really don't want another Shimano rod so what do I do.  By the way I am not bashing Shimano I will continue to use Shimano reels but I have never broken a rod like this before so I plan on buying another brand rod.  Thanks in advance for replies.

Check with TW, I'm sure they will take care of you.

I contacted them and they are sending me a return shipping label to me to send the rod back.  TW is very good in the customer service department.
