what is the good set up out there? I was looking at Daiwa Steez or Loomis but I am really open to any suggestions? 6'7 or 7 for more all-around setup?

    Yep.

    There is quite a bit of difference in the "perfect" jig & worm rod verses a crankin' stick. If you're looking for an "all-around" baitcaster, the G.Loomis GLX MBR844C is an outstanding rod, but for me it's my dedicated jig rig.

    If you are going to fish soft plastic for the most part, I have my Core paired with a Loomis BCR803 and it's a match made in heaven. If you're looking to fish some cranks, I'll second RW's suggestion.
