If you were to buy one spinning rod that could cover multiple worm presentations, which would it be?  The presentations I would like it to cover would be light T-rigs, Shakey head, and dropshoting.  Leaning towards a Loomis or a Crucial but wanted some opinions.

I use a 7' medium/fast Shimano Compre, i absolutely love my Compre although if i could go back i would pick the Crucial. I use that rod for all of my spinning tackle, light- weightless T-rigs, senkos and shaky head rigs.

Thanks RW....your expertise is valued.  However, could you elaborate as to why you would choose this particular rod?  It does appear it may be the best all around rod; is this the reason?  

What about the the SJR842S?....would I notice a significant difference since it is a GL3 as opposed to an IMX?

Just trying to understand a bit more....thanks again for your help.

P.S.  Anyone else feel free to comment--your input is appreciated.

Whoops---just saw that Gloomis makes a GL3 in the SJR843S---again, any noticable difference between it and the IMX?

I have IMX and GL3 rods and there is a lot of difference in them.  The GL3s were the first ones I bought and since have only bought IMX.

I had an IMX SJR 843 and got rid of it.  It was way to stiff for my needs.  I traded it for an IMX SJR 782.  I fish 1/4 oz jigs and tubes on it and like it much better than the 843.

i have a loomis sjr 783 6'6" MH that i love but if you're going to throw lite worms i use a g loomis BSR 803 mossyback jig & worm rod and it's my favorite rod .

I have to agree with the SJR843S in IMX. I have this rod and never leave home without it.  It is a fairly stiff rod, but I think the 842 is a little soft to be an all around rod.  

no matter what model you get, IMO, you will be well served to step up to IMX-signficant difference.

So, will the SJR843 be able to handle shakey heads and drop shotting well enough or will I need something less stiff?
