Lubing Reels

Featured Replies

Bought a couple of Higher dollar reels and want to keep them working in good condition, but was curious to what and where to lube. Just bought some Grease and Oil and need to know where to put it thank you?

If its not broke don't fix it! Use only a drop of reel oil per bearing and the same for greasing the teeth of the gears to much oil and grease will down grade your reels preformance.JMHO

For my money, I clean and oil everything that moves and

is accessable without opening the reel. When it's time for

a thorough cleaning and lube, I ship my reels to a professional,
