Quantum Tour Edition Reel?

Featured Replies

can anyone give me any opinions on this reel? looking to buy a new reel and found these on sale for 129..anybody have one?

$129 is a steal for these. I saw that cabelas has them and I am very tempted. Someone else posted a review by tackle tour that gave this reel very high marks. You may want to google and read about it.

i have one in the 7.0:1 ratio and really like it. its spooled with some hybrid line and have had no issue as of yet.

I have one and I think it's a great reel. It's smooth, and I also have the hybrid line installed. It makes a big difference. I have been able to cast quite a far ways with it, and relatively no backlash using the Infinite casting control feature.

I wouldn't hesitate or you'll miss out on a deal, I should say steal!!!

is the ball bearing count the only difference between the tour edition pt and the energy pt baitcasters?

Alex

I have a tour edition and I think they are very durable, smooth, and they hold a good bit a line. The only thing I dont like is they are a bit heavy. ( 8 oz) But it really doesnt bother me.  130 is a steal for this reel, you deffinitly will get your money worth.

I have energies in all 3 ratios.  Love them to death.  I do believe that the bearing count is the only difference with the tour edition.

I own a pair of these, and they seem very solid.  Are they my favorite high-speed reels?  No...I do like my Zillions better.  Daiwa just has the tightest tolerances of any brand.  However, a $200+ reel is going to work pretty good regardless of brand.  Will it hold up over 7-10yrs?  Who keeps their reels that long?!

More people then you think keep them for a long period of time. Your way of thinking is just a very small part of the over all picture.
