rod power?

Featured Replies

i have an allstar GT2 classic graphite rod that is 6' 6", 10-20lb line, and rated for lures 1/4 to 1 1/2 ounces. it does not list the power on the rod???

i thought that was weird, what power do you think it is? it doesnt really feel like a heavy power rod. honestly, it only feels like a medium. maybe its a medium heavy. i dunno.

what do you guys think?

no neither one of those are the rod.

this rod is made by All Star

They list it as a Med. power.  I think the upper end lure rating may be a typo... even as a mod action, I wouldn't get near 1.5 oz.  If it were mine, I'd pretend it said 1/4 - 1/2 oz.

Here is the copy and paste from the all star site:

thanks flechero, thats the rod i have.

except mine must be older or something because it doesnt have blue threads, it has greyish-red threads.

why doesnt it list the power or action on the rod? are there any other companies that do this?

and why do you think its a typo?

Like Fletch said, it's a medium/medium.  It's one of All Star's crankbait rods.

I don't think the 1 1/2 oz is a typo, that's the rating on the American Classics 6'6" and 7' M/M crankbait rods, too.
