Been busy with work so I've not been able to post any pictures of the upgraded JDM Daiwa BBS.  Needless to say I am very pleased with the results.

Here is how the reel started out life.  Nice, but pretty basic.

And this is what it looks like now.  Anodized the tension knob, Steez drag star and crank collar, replaced the crank with a JDM Steez carbon 90mm arm, replaced the black grips with clear coated cork, added 4 bearings in the grips, replaced all the bearings with upgraded units, and put it on my new Megabass White Python.

Looks sweet!  Question.  I always wondered if the rework was akin to rebluing firearms, or if it is some kind of anodizing?  Thanks.  ff15

the pieces were stripped down and anodized.  If anyone is interested in having this done I can get you all the contact information.

Glenn, when you come visit, I'll make you a drink. ;)

You should start a show "Pimp my reel"  ;D

it's reminds me of the fast and the furious.

Those cork grips are a pretty sweet touch.

Absolutely stunning reel my friend.  Those anodized pieces turned out really good.  Looks great matched with the Python.

How did you get that scratch on it?

Beautiful, but I'd be afraid to use it.  I'd want to just park it in the garage and look at it.  ;D

This setup will get plenty of scratches and nicks.  That's not a problem. ;)

Nice Bar!  Party at Robert's house!!  ;)

Yea, I couldn't reach the top shelf,.....some good stuff up there.....hehe (Yea,...I found a stool :( )

Nice set up amigo!!  I think the "land mine" knobs would look sick on a reel on the python. (yea,...you know the ones, hehe, shhhh)
