Yup, they are great, I own 3 of the casting rods. Best decison I ever made reguarding a rod purchase. All 3 of mine are the pre 2008 full rear grip versions, got them when they put them on sale for $150.

now i have to get the tube ,,, i was thinking of that finess rod .... but the tube sound like the rod i need .... ;D

Speaking of the dock skipper, does anyone have the 5'10 skipping rod from the legend tournament spinning series? (LTBS510MXF "Skippin")

I have the 6'9 drop shotting rod and it's unbelievable how sensitive it is

st croix told me that the tube rod is the closest thing to an all purpose rod in that series that's pretty much why i went for it.

yea i thought you told me that .... ill be getting the tube ,, i really liked the fact the rod was 7ft long ....  i cant wait to get my hands on one ...  ;D

hey bronze ,,, what line are you running on that rod ??? also have you hooked into a biggun with that rod yet ... i bet that rod really fights the fish good ....

I'm finding myself leaning towards st. croix from now on. Love the feel of all their rods.

I just got the same rod after upgrading from a broken Avid. I have to say, I really love the split grip, the light weight, the extreme sensitivity and the action and power of the rod.

If I get another spinning Tournament, I would probably get the LTBS63MXF / Shakin' rod for something with a little bit stiffer tip for shakey heads
