Used Shimano Calcutta B's vs Quantum E760PT's

Featured Replies

I have now come into posession of 2 Calcutta 200's and 1 Calcutta 100 and 3 Quantum Energy E760PT's but I can only keep three. The Calcutta's are used but in fine working order and the Quantum's are brand new. I'm still getting used to casting the Calcutta but have already owned 2 Quantum's before and have no problem with them. So what would you do in this situation. Which would you keep in my place, the Quantum's or Calcutta's.

Hmm...

The Calcutta are Shimanos, the others are not... ::)

Calcutta > Quantum......but if you end up selling the Calcutta's, holler at me.

Keep Quantum and toss the Calcutta in the trash.

By the way, what is your address and what days does your trash go out?

Keep the Calcuttas and ditch the quantums.  OR Keep the quantums and give me the calcuttas, whichever you prefer. ;D

I have seen quantum's spool break from putting line on it at a tackle shop.

The calcutta will last you a lot of years and if and when it does have problems, send it to shimano. if they can't fix it then they give you a new one. maybe a newer model if yours is discontinued.

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking. The quantums go back to the store. They were on sale at academy and the bait monkey had me in a serious death grip when I bought em yesterday. Atleast I won't have to explain em to the missus.
