Daiwa Megaforce is a good reel. I can't really help you with your decision because this is my ownly baitcaster that I own and actually used.

So I guess it is the Tournament or Megaforce now.

I had a megaforce that a returned after a month or so of use. The drag started to slip and the thumb bar would not engage after casting. Same thing happened to the one my uncle bought, which was later returned. Several other guys here have had similar problems. I would not buy this reel.

I LOVE my bionic plus baitcaster. casts great has plenty of power and I think is just an awesome reel for the price.  I highly reccomend it.

I think I may go with the Procaster.

I had a megaforce I took back to the store a month ago. Seemed like something stripped inside.

Got my money back and got a Quantum Energy PT, so far so good

I'd pass on the Daiwa Procaster Tournament PT100 in favor of an older aluminum-framed Procaster 100H or a Procaster Rojo. Cabelas has the Rojo on sale for $59, which is the same as Bass Pro's price on the PT100. They were $90 at this time last year.

X2 on the Procaster Rojo. 9 bearings and aluminum frame for $60! I have a love of all things Daiwa.

I really like the rojo so I think that may be my choice. I also like that it has a flippin switch.

I am also thinking about getting the Fish Eagle Tournament 2 depending on how much money I can russel up today.

For the price of those i would suggest getting the citica on sale for $89

I was able to fix my current reel but I may get the Citica as a backup.

I just got a Citica on-sale at BPs and all I can say is wow, what a difference between this reel and BPS Rick Clunn edition.  It is an awesome reel especially at the close out price right now.

The new citica is only 30 more then the one on sale i think to.  sounds like I might be joining the shimano posee.  I CANT BELIEVE IT
