I am getting ready to do a rod upgrade to croix avid series.

I want to know what rod types are best for certain lures. Rod power etc....

Any advise???

Jigs & soft plastics: AVC68MXF, AVC70MHF or AVC70HF

All treble hooks, buzzbaits and spinnerbaits: AVC66MF

If you want a rod specifically for light and medium weight crankbaits: AVC70MM

Because I'm on the short side, and also because I like the added casting accuracy of a shorter rod; I use the AC62MXF for soft plastics and lighter jigs.

for jigs and bigger t-rigs 1/2 and up i choose the 7ft med-hev fast ,, IMO a must have from the avid series ...

for t-rigs and plastics up to 1/2 i choose the 7ft med fast another great rod i also like buzzbaits , shallow cranks , spinnerbaits on this rod ... these are just my choices ... i like a 7ft rod for most fishing ...
