P-Line CXX?

Featured Replies

Is P-line CXX mono or copolymer, because bass pro has it labeled as both.

I suppose but I still want to know if it is mono or copolymer?

Cool thanks.  Its just bass pro had it labeled as copolymer in one instance and mono in the other.

I've found that sometimes retailers don't distinguish between mono and copoly, lumping them in together.  C:

Copolymer is MONOfilament. Mono doesn 't equal nylon only, the term applies to any line made from one filament.

If you are going to jump on CXX don 't jump big on the poundage, 12 lbs is a short step from having as much maneageability as wire ( even though it 's absurdly strong ), coils like hell but when it comes to muscle its 'fine.

Ok thanks for the tip Raul. :)

Copolymer just means that there are two polymers (in this case nylon polymers) used at the same time.

I use CXX in the 20, 25, and 30lb weights for big baiting and leaders for night fishing.

At Fourbizz's suggestion, I have been throwing my bigger baits with the 20lb CXX.  I drench it with KVD Line and Lure and it is manageable.

Yeah when I try this line I am definitely going to try some KVD Line and Lure.
