fluoro or mono?

Featured Replies

This will sound bad, however I change line fairly often on many different rods. Some have braid, some clear mono and some flouro. The braid is obvious, but now I am unsure if the line on my other rods is mono or flouro. Is there any way to tell the diffrerence once they are on the reels?

The fluorocarbon will sink.

Buy green mono, it blends well with most water.

on baitcasters not really, but with spinners, flouro usally just pops right off, whereas mono will not.most of the time i use a small sticker with the lb test and what brand. I.E.,powerpro,(pp)strensuperbraid(SSB) sunline (sun) alot of times they come with the line itself, the stickers, just putem on your rod and put clear tape over it so it will stay on longer.
