Yep....there is a long thread about it on tackle tour.  We came to the conclusion a while back, and Bantam1 denied it.  Now he admits it is going to be replaced...

The reel is definitely going to be replaced.

I would love to know what they will replace it with. It's the best reel Shimano has ever built at any price IMHO. I will hate to see it go. However the 5 that I have now will probably last for the rest of my life.

You took the words from me... down to the 5 I also own!  Except I plan to wear mine out before I go. ...lol    

Guess you can never have to many Shimano reels. I will add one of these to the family. Can't beat the price.
