Right or Left?

Featured Replies

Hey, just wondering who uses right or left baitcasters? It seems like now a days more people are using left handed ones. I've always used right, it seems more comfortable.

NO POLITICAL THREADS>>Opps Misunderstood my mistake

i learned using right hand. now that i havent been fishing much the last 2 yrs because of my location and have thought about it, i've decided to sell one of my right hand reels and try left. i think i will have better lure control holding the rod with right hand and wont have to change hands after the cast.

Righty, and no, I 'm not left handed.

I cast right and retrieve right.

Left hand retrieve for bait casting & spinning.

To me, switching hands seems about as practical as leaving the remote at the couch and getting up to change channels on the television :) :)

Having spent 35 years with spinning gear, I didn't enjoy baitcasting until I used LH models.  The switching was too distracting.
