Kind of a dumb question

Featured Replies

Last summer, I bought some Lake Fork Creature tubes, crawdad color,  from ***.

My dumb question is, orange side up or orange side down?

Also, how are you guys rigging these?

It doesn't matter I've never had a bass swim up and say dude your bait is rigged wrong  :)

I thought maybe since we try to make other lures resemble a fish, white belly dark back, etc, that there was a right way to position these tubes.

the color really shouldnt matter for that. the only time i worry about color up or down is when im trying to imitate a shad or bluegill. in that case i want lighter side down.

LOL Brent.  Knowing the laws is key.

Light side down,  dark side up for bottom baits.  Why?  matches the surroundings.  Thats why fish have dark tops and light bottoms.  Either way you look at them it helps them blend in.  Same with craw tops.

Honestly though a tube will spin some at times so it really doesnt matter.

No such thing as a dumb question Moby, that's how we all learn 8-)
